- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Desterritorialização da Carne: cartografias das emoções que efetuam corpos travestis no centro de São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2019) Moraes, Daniel Filipe [UNIFESP]; Pereira, Pedro Paulo Gomes [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)This dissertation describes the experience that began starting at the encounter with travestis and trans women in street situation. I was hired as a psychologist at “Casa Florescer”, an equipment dedicated to shelter this population. The main objective is to cartography the affections that are produced during these encounters and how they make the body escape from the rigid lines that conserve genders. The method of this cartography has allowed me to trace lines to create a map that followed the invented subjectivity movements in the encounters. As a way to give visibility to narratives, speeches, meanings and significances lived, I interviewed two contributors. How can the emotion move the body in order to create expression channels into matter? What other bodies are these? In which ways do they embody into matter? The body inhabits the unlocatable and whets its sensibility coming from a self-factor of a(ffe)ctivation. The potency of affecting and being affected produces repulse and attraction movements, in which these bodies experiment positions and sounds that give these affections channel to embody a material expression. Emotion has a strict bond with the group (motus) motion – mobility. E-movere means to put into motion, to expropriate itself. It comprehends, then, emotion, not as passiveness, but as differentiation movement, that connects with the planes of affective forces. Evellyn manifests this differentiation movement in the encounter of bodies, she didn’t hormone herself, nor did she have any silicone prosthesis and not even wear clothes that society describes as feminine. The encounters with Evellyn took me to another experimentation field, eyes didn’t matter much other than her qualities of irradiation and of forces that composed with mine, constructing a plane of immanence to embody new corporealities. At a certain evening at the “CineClube 7 Cores” I met Lívia. She would experiment herself with wigs and dresses, in which all that made her vibrate, her eyes sparkled at the same time her gender was embodying in her flesh. Thaís elaborates over a body that doesn’t enclose itself in the flesh, for it flows out with her gesture reflections, making her escape from the social intelligibilities. She comprehends from her emotions that she was always a woman, so she takes her body as screen to embody these motions. Samanta, with all her colors and rhythmic vibrations, created fluctuations in the density of the atmosphere, transporting me out of my own self. She was spread out everywhere at the shelter, I could feel her body slipping in between the paintings, leaving traces of what past through. Her woven produced other inaudible bodies. It’s the subtlety of deviations that produces new bodies in dialog. A channel of intelligibility for other genders is performed in the emotion that engenders a plane of immanence to be materialized, moves the proper body towards other corporealities, sensibilities and experimentations.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosDiversidade sexual na escola: sobre seus silêncios e preconceitos(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2020-02-20) Ferreira, Rita Gisela Guedes [UNIFESP]; Borba, Patrícia Leme de Oliveira [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)The work analyzes the theme of sexual diversity in schools in the municipality of Santos, located in the State of São Paulo, in particular the measures undertaken by education professionals, technical staff and managers, for this purpose. The objectives are to understand whether or not there are measures by these actors to implement the theme of sexual diversity in schools. To achieve the objectives, the survey raised official documents dealing with the theme and, mainly, was based on 10 interviews with educational advisors and managers of five elementary schools located in the Northwest Zone of the city of Santos. The interviews were transcribed and later analyzed, intertwining the researcher's subjectivity with the theoretical framework of the study, creating three thematic axes: a) We all have to speak !, b) Who should speak? and c) Strategies to speak. The first axis, in view of the unanimity of focusing on sexual diversity in schools, highlights the need and relevance of this action; the second axis, on the other hand, turned to the observation about the analysis of the professionals with regard to whom they attribute the movement / the responsibility of putting the theme on the agenda, once they recognized the little domain and their conceptual insecurities and thus delegating ́other ́s, in particular, health professionals, primarily doctors and psychologists, the professionals who are responsible for conducting the topic. Finally, the third axis was oriented towards identifying perceiving the methods and techniques proposed by the interviewees to implement the subject in schools, replacing the intention, the possibility, since there was no description about something that has already happened in the schools. Finally, with the results of the research, it was intended to provide subsidies for strengthening the dialogue on sexual diversity in the school context.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Gender norms among "Landless" youth: evidence for the social practice of nursing(Univ Sao Paolo, 2017) Zanatta, Luiz Fabiano [UNIFESP]; Tereza Ruiz-Cantero, Maria; Chilet-Rossel, Elisa; Alvarez-Dardet, Carlos; da Silva Bretas, Jose Roberto [UNIFESP]Objective: Analyzing the relationship between socio-demographic characteristics of youth from the Landless Rural Workers' Movement in Brazil (MST) regarding the prevalence ratio being in accordance with gender norms. Method: A cross-sectional study conducted during a Journey of Agroecology carried out in the State of Parana with young people (15 to 29 years) of both genders. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires. Data analysis compared variables regarding gender norms with sociodemographic variables, and a Prevalence Ratio (PR) was calculated with a confidence interval (CI) set at 95% in order to determine this relationship. Results: The study sample was comprised of 147 young people. A higher prevalence was found in accordance with gender norms (PR with CI at 95%) among women compared to men, and that sociodemographic characteristics (lower education level, those living in occupation camps, who do not have white skin and with religious belief) were social indicators for such positioning among both genders. Conclusion: The by product of a patriarchal gender system has led more young girls to internalization and a reaffirmation of gender norms, highlighting an important field for social nursing practices in order to contribute to the transformation of this reality.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Gender-Based Differences in Cardiac Remodeling and ILK Expression after Myocardial Infarction(Sociedade Brasileira de Cardiologia - SBC, 2014-08-01) Sofia, Renato Rodrigues [UNIFESP]; Serra, Andrey Jorge [UNIFESP]; Silva Junior, Jose Antonio; Antonio, Ednei Luiz [UNIFESP]; Manchini, Martha Trindade; Oliveira, Fernanda Aparecida Alves de; Teixeira, Vicente de Paulo Castro [UNIFESP]; Tucci, Paulo José Ferreira [UNIFESP]; Universidade Nove de Julho Programa de Pós-graduação em Ciências da Reabilitação; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Background: Gender can influence post-infarction cardiac remodeling. Objective: To evaluate whether gender influences left ventricular (LV) remodeling and integrin-linked kinase (ILK) after myocardial infarction (MI). Methods: Female and male Wistar rats were assigned to one of three groups: sham, moderate MI (size: 20-39% of LV area), and large MI (size: ≥40% of LV area). MI was induced by coronary occlusion, and echocardiographic analysis was performed after six weeks to evaluate MI size as well as LV morphology and function. Real-time RT-PCR and Western blot were used to quantify ILK in the myocardium. Results: MI size was similar between genders. MI resulted in systolic dysfunction and enlargement of end-diastolic as well as end-systolic dimension of LV as a function of necrotic area size in both genders. Female rats with large MI showed a lower diastolic and systolic dilatation than the respective male rats; however, LV dysfunction was similar between genders. Gene and protein levels of ILK were increased in female rats with moderate and large infarctions, but only male rats with large infarctions showed an altered ILK mRNA level. A negative linear correlation was evident between LV dimensions and ILK expression in female rats with large MI. Conclusions: Post-MI ILK expression is altered in a gender-specific manner, and higher ILK levels found in females may be sufficient to improve LV geometry but not LV function.

- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Humanos ou cobaias? Trajetórias de cuidado e o desafio do direito à saúde de pessoas travestis e transexuais.(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2019-09-09) Antognetti, Marcia Regiane Borges [UNIFESP]; Surjus, Luciana Togni de Lima e Silva [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)This research aimed to understand the main difficulties and advances to ensure access to health in the context of Public Health Policy, from the perspective of transvestites and transsexuals that use the Health Clinic for transvestites and transsexuals of the Guilherme Álvaro Hospital, in the city of Santos - SP. We mapped the demand for the transsexualization process, as well as the socioeconomic and cultural conditions of this population. The issue of prejudgment, discrimination and violence suffered by transsexuals in their daily lives was addressed, especially with regard to assistance and shelter in the health service. These are people who express themselves in the world according to the gender which they identify themselves, regardless of the biological sex they were born with, making them targets of violence of all kinds and vexatious situations, because they are in disagreement with the cisheteronormative standards that govern our society. Initially, a systematic literature review was conducted as a methodological effort in order to identify the themes that have been explored in the tradition of health itself. We determined for a qualitative research, under the reference of critical and narrative hermeneutics, through the reconstruction of care trajectories. In this study, we detected that from the point of view of transsexuals’ people, the existence of the specific outpatient clinic sounds like an important social gain, coming from the movements between the interested population and the Sexual Diversity Commission of Santos. For being exclusively linked to SUS, even not have their own funds to pay for doctor’s visits, exams and treatments, it is possible to remain in the service, making it an important protagonist in terms of guaranteeing health as a right for all. We identified as the main advances in access to health, the assistance provided by professionals who work directly in the specific outpatient clinic, providing the acquisition of reports for the rectification of the first name and sex judicial process, acquisition of hormones and performance of surgeries, except for sexual reassignment. We attested that transsexuals’ people see transphobia, prejudgment, discrimination, violence and the nonuse of the social name as important factors that prevent them from accessing health, or even associating to it. They are treated with indifference and are often not even listened. They feel as if they were guinea pigs, due to lack of technical ignorance and practical knowledge of the professionals when they are approach with this theme. Interviewees emphasize that, the biggest barrier is the (de)user embracement and (de)assistance. We verified that the guarantee of the right to health depends on the relationships between health professionals and transsexuals’ people, through the recognition of this population and its singularities, as well as the implementation and strengthening of the LGBT public health policy. We have the challenge to ensure the rights to health of this population, injecting ways to raise awareness and qualify professionals, overcoming the barriers mentioned in this study, investing in a humanized user embracement, free of discrimination, prejudgment and violence, in order to flow the happiness projects of each person assisted.
