Quatro questões orientam a
2) Quais as
envolvidos no movimento interacional.
This research has as its theme a study on the retextualization of the medication leaflet´s and its main objective is to identify and analyze strategies used in the retextualization process referring to this type of production. Four questions guide the investigation: 1) What are the main strategies involved in the retextualization of the health professional's medication leaflet to the patient's leaflet, in the perspective of the recommendations of official Health bodies for the pharmaceutical industries? 2) What are the main strategies involved in the retextualization of the leaflet performed orally by patients? 3) What are the main strategies involved in the retextualization of the medication leaflet´s out orally by a health agent? 4) What do the data reveal about the retextualization and the activity of reading and understanding the medication leaflet´s in the interaction contexts referred to in the previous questions? Data for analysis were collected through semi-structured interviews with six elderly patients and a health agent, all residents of the São João de Sene community, in the municipality of Tanque do Piauí (PI). With the theoretical anchoring of studies on the text developed in Textual Linguistics in its socio-cognitive and interactional approach, especially on the process of retextualization (MARCUSCHI, 2010, [2001]), as well as studies on the medication leaflet´s, data analysis took place in three stages: 1) comparison and analysis of the medication leaflet´s inserts in the versions addressed to the health professional and to the patient; 2) description and analysis of strategies for retextualizing the leaflet used by elderly patients and health agents; 3) discussion of retextualization strategies related to factors involved in reading and understanding the leaflet. Results related to the retextualization process, from the perspective of the pharmaceutical industries indicate the use of addition, elimination, substitution and topical/subtopical reordering strategies in the reformulation of the package leaflet, aiming at the interests and needs of patients. Regarding the retextualizing activities carried out orally by the elderly research participants, the results obtained reveal the prominent use of addition, elimination and substitution strategies with different objectives that, as a whole, say a lot about the understanding that these readers have of the leaflet, particularly, the part alluding to the purpose of the medication and dosage to be taken. From the analysis of the retextualizing practices of AS in interaction with patients, the results point out above all the use of addition, elimination and substitution strategies, with the intention that patients understand and follow the recommendations contained in the booklet In general, the set of results obtained from this research reinforces the assumption assumed in this work that retextualization is a dependent process of reading and understanding the base text, therefore demands attention to the multiple knowledge of those involved in the interactional movement.
