Abstract

In The Field Of Politics, The Participation Of Organized Civil Society Has Shown To Be Part Of The Agenda Of The Western Nations. The Genesis Of Popular Participation In The Health Area In Brazil Occurred In The 1970s, With The So-Called Sanitary Reform Movement, Which Culminated In The Brazilian Sanitary Reform. More Effectively, The Participation Of Society In Public Health Policies Has Been Guaranteed Since The Mid-1980s, Through Mechanisms For Control And Management Of The Unified Health System (Sus) In The Legislative Framework, But This Theme Requires A Permanent Reflection On Its Limits And Possibilities In Relation To Representativeness And Legitimacy, As Well As In Relation To The Organization, Structuring And Functioning Of Health Councils In The Planning And Deliberation Process Of Health Policies. A Gênese Da Participação Popular Na Área De Saúde No Brasil Se Deu Na Década De 1970, Com O Chamado Movimento Da Reforma Sanitária Brasileira. De Modo Mais Efetivo, A Participação Da Sociedade Nas Políticas Públicas De Saúde Está Garantida Desde Meados De 1980, Por Meio De Mecanismos De Controle E De Gestão Do Sistema Único De Saúde (Sus) No Arcabouço Legislativo, Porém Este Tema Exige Uma Permanente Reflexão Sobre Seus Limites E Possibilidades Em Relação À Representatividade E Legitimidade, Bem Como No Processo De Planejamento E Deliberação Das Políticas De Saúde Em Relação À Organização, Estruturação E Funcionamento Dos Conselhos De Saúde.
