The occupational therapy profession combines the health, social and educational domains. Although being little known, occupational therapy within the educational domain is an expanding field. It strives for the inclusion of children with disabilities, which can include physical, intellectual, hearing or visual impairments. This study aimed to perform a bibliographic research of scientific papers with topics that include occupational therapy, visual impairment and inclusive education from three particular websites: CAPES (Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel), the Brazilian Journal of Occupational Therapy from the Federal University of São Carlos and the Journal of Occupational Therapy from University of São Paulo. Three papers were selected for including all three following subjects: occupational therapy – visual impairment – special education/inclusive education or school inclusion. Despite limited results, this bibliographic research suggests deficiencies of infrastructure, resources and professional knowledge in the educational domain when promoting the inclusion of children with visual impairments. This study has also observed a demand for more research in the area of occupational therapy interventions for visually impaired individuals within the inclusive education domain
