Resumo
The article shares results of ethnographic research that analyzed contradictions in the ways of using the categories disability and diversity in the schooling of children diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Addressed the growing offer of therapeutic services for students diagnosed with ASD within the scope of Public Education Networks in the cities of São Paulo and Guarulhos. It identified situations in which the presence of Therapeutic Attendants became an object of controversy, since this presence destabilized the principles of Inclusive Education. It found that there is an ongoing dynamic of appropriation of arguments related to neurodiversity. It concluded that the pedagogical silencing in relation to the theme can be analyzed with the concept of making disability that is developed and presented at the end
