Introduction: Obesity is a disease and an important risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and is currently considered a global epidemic. It is a multifactorial chronic and complex disease, in which environmental and behavioral factors stand out as the main etiology. From this perspective, interdisciplinary interventions have shown positive results in relation to lifestyle changes. Innovative proposals based on mindfulness and mindful eating have shown significant results with this population. Objective: To evaluate the effect of an online intervention based on mindfulness and mindful eating on the eating behavior of women with obesity. Method: This is a quasiexperimental pilot, with mixed methods, with a quantitative and qualitative approach. The sample consisted of 10 participants, aged between 18 and 60 years old, with a BMI value between 30 and 39.9 kg/m². As follows evaluation method, the following collection instruments were used: Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire and BingeEating Scal to assess eating behavior, Mindful Attention Awareness Scale to measure the ability of mindfulness, Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale to identify symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress, and application of a feedback questionnaire. Results: Significant decrease in emotional eating scores (p=0.020) and external eating (p=0.010). Restricted eating and binge eating scores did not show a statistically significant difference. There was a significant difference in depression symptoms (p=0.036), but anxiety and stress data showed no significant difference. The mindfulness skill score showed a significant difference (p=0.038). There were no changes at weight loss/BMI. In the qualitative analysis, it was observed that the participants adopted a more compassionate attitude, as well as a greater selfawareness, self-perception, which can influence positive changes in behavior. Conclusion: It was found that there was an improvement in emotional and external eating, a decrease in depression symptoms and an increase in mindfulness skills.
