Present in Brazilian daily life since the period of colonization, the dogmas and ideals of Catholicism have infiltrated Brazilian society. However, with the arrival of modernity and the rise of Protestantism and the increase in adherents to Pentecostal and Neo-Pentecostal religions in Brazil, the number of Catholics is decreasing more and more and the Catholic Church is seeing its hegemony gradually reduced. In this scenario, groups have emerged that hark back to a pre-conciliar Catholicism. With the support of social networks, traditionalist Catholic groups such as the Don Bosco Center have gained a foothold in the country's political and religious scene, where they seek to rid both the Catholic Church and the country of Liberation Theology, "gender ideology" and communism. The aim of this work is to understand how the "New Right" movements created at the end of the 20th century influenced the construction of the Don Bosco Center's thinking and to analyze the group's influence within Catholicism and the country's conservative movements, focusing on political and religious discourse and using as a basis the reading of materials taken from digital media and online newspapers.
