Ocupacional contemplam a dimensão do brincar.
Pediátrica, Protocolo Perfil Sensorial, Medida do Processamento Sensorial e Modelo Lúdico,
importância do brincar.
Protocolo Perfil Sensorial, Medida do Processamento da Incapacidade e Modelo Lúdico, e
The first childhood is an essential phase in human life and has to receive care and attention, since the stimuli, opportunities, environments, resources offered during this period are determinative for child development. Furthermore, playing is the main activity of childhood and acts as an activity that promotes the children’s motor, cognitive, and affective development and for that has to be primarily stimulated. In that regard, knowing occupations are the objective of study of the occupational therapist, that task searches to understand how the main occupation of children, the play, is considered by the assessment instruments of the childhood occupational therapist clinic. Objective: Understand if the evaluation instruments of the childhood development used in the occupational therapist’s clinic contemplate the playing dimension. Method: This is a documentary research that seeks to analyze the assessment instruments Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory, Sensory Profile, Sensory Processing Measure and Playful Model, in order to find out how the playing dimension is inside of those instruments. After that, these results were correlate with other articles that support the importance of playing. Results: The playing was scarcely found in the instruments Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory, Sensory Profile and Sensory Processing Measure, in addition was evidence how this instruments are aimed to analyze disabilities and dysfunctions of the childhood development, for planning interventions to compensate that, limiting the occupational therapist’s view to the activities and occupations of childhood. Conclusion: In view of the detailed analysis of the instruments Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory, Sensory Profile, Sensory Processing Measure and Playful Model, and the only studies founded that address the Playful Model and the playing, it point the insufficiency of the others three instruments inside the occupational therapist’s practice. This is because the profession has a pretext: the guarantee of occupation and engagement of the subjects, in the case of childhood the principal occupational paper is the playing and it is approached in a insufficient form while this instruments come back to analyze the deviations of the childhood development and the planning of interventions in order to compensate this deviations.
