O capacitismo e a (ex)inclusão de pessoas com deficiência: percepções de usuários de rede social

O capacitsimo é um termo recente que está relacionado à manifestação de discriminação estrutural e preconceito contra pessoas com deficiência, com base em suas habilidades ou incapacidades, atingindo as diversas esferas da sociedade, desde o acesso a oportunidades educacionais e de emprego até a participação plena na vida social. Com base nisso, o presente trabalho tem o objetivo de analisar percepções sobre o capacitismo e a inclusão e pessoas com deficiência em suas mais diversas manifestações, considerando que este conceito tem impactos substanciais no processo de escolarização e inclusão social desta população. A relevância deste estudo é justificada pelo contínuo avanço de pesquisas acadêmicas e científicas que abordam o capacitismo como elemento cultural que impacta a vida das pessoas com deficiência nas esferas sociais. Por meio de abordagem metodológica qualitativa do tipo exploratória, este trabalho realizou-se a partir de pesquisa de campo em redes sociais da internet, uma vez que esses ambientes têm sido amplamente utilizados pelos usuários ao longo da última década. Com ênfase na rede social “Facebook”, a partir do conteúdo de uma publicação, foram analisados 388 comentários relativos à postagem, destacando os relatos pessoais e as diversas percepções sobre as manifestações do capacitismo, em três categorias. Os resultados indicam que o capacitismo é significativamente prevalente nas esferas da inclusão social, destacando o mercado de trabalho e a escola como campo de maior impacto. Tal manifestação, a partir da percepção dos usuários da rede social tem significado uma barreira importante para a inclusão social e escolar de pessoas com deficiência em nossa sociedade, evidenciando processos de discriminação e segregação.
Capacitism is a recent term that is related to the manifestation of structural discrimination and prejudice against people with disabilities, based on their abilities or disabilities, affecting various spheres of society, from access to educational and employment opportunities to full participation in social life. Based on this, the present study aims to analyze perceptions of capacitism and the inclusion of people with disabilities in its various manifestations, considering that this concept has substantial impacts on the process of education and social inclusion of this population. The relevance of this study is justified by the continuous advancement of academic and scientific research addressing capacitism as a cultural element that impacts the lives of people with disabilities in social spheres. Through a qualitative exploratory methodological approach, this work was carried out through field research on internet social networks, as these environments have been widely used by users over the past decade. With emphasis on the social network "Facebook," 388 comments related to the post were analyzed, highlighting personal accounts and various perceptions of capacitism's manifestations in three categories. The results indicate that capacitism is significantly prevalent in the spheres of social inclusion, particularly in the labor market and schools as the most impacted areas. According to the perception of social media users, this manifestation has represented a significant barrier to the social and educational inclusion of people with disabilities in our society, revealing processes of discrimination and segregation.
