This study pillars are founded on the performative reading, based on the clown mask experiment, using Manoel de Barros’ texts. Therefore, studies of text reading, poem analysis, Manoel's critical and his literary production, together with the possibilities of the clown mask, will build the triad: poet, clowning and video performance. The purpose is to understand, through literary performance, how this configuration, which consists of the arrangement between poet and clown, in the face of common factors between the parties, thus verifying their similarities and approximations. In this research, the video is not only a register, but it will appear with a performative purpose, presenting another proposal for reading the poetics of Manoel de Barros, expanding an artistic and experimental research to a larger number of people, in order to broaden the discussions about the displacement of the text out of paper and its use in the streets in relation to the people present there, within the provocation that is a mark of the clown mask, thus building a triad: poet, clowning and performance.
