The present work aims to describe how low-cost experimental practices can influence the understanding of the environment of EJA students. This is an interventional study with stages 2 and 3 of the master's study entitled Environmental Perception of Youth and Adult Education Students, master's student Débora Rodrigues Cordeiro. In order to continue the referred study, an intervention named OFICINA ARTICULA was elaborated, with pedagogical actions that contextualized the environmental perception of the investigated students and their environmental reality with a base in the techniques of socio-environmental participation and awareness. The OFICINA ARTICULA contemplated five activities: (i) Presentation to students of the environmental problems identified in the applied instruments (performed by the master's student); (ii) Carrying out 2 low-cost experiments (being them about silting up of the hydric bodies and eutrophication); (iii) Wailing Wall; (iv) Tree of Dreams and (v) Portal of Actions (stages performed by all participants). The intervention was carried out on June 6, 2022. and had the participation of 2 TCC graduate students, 1 master's student, 1 school teacher and 1 university researcher. The entire intervention was filmed and the students' productions and teaching materials used in the workshop were analyzed. It was considered that the objectives of the present work were achieved with the stage (ii) of the intervention: (i) production of materials for the workshop; (ii) students showed a perception and critical analysis of the local environmental reality and (iii) the experimental practices influenced the students' understanding of the environment in the micro dimensions (individual - students' interaction with the experimental activities), meso (school and surroundings - relation of the experiments presented with the socio-environmental problems experienced in their daily lives, which was evidenced during the stage of the Wailing Wall) and (iii) macro (global - students proposed solutions for the environmental problems addressed during the Portal of Actions stage related to the experiments).
