Branquitude e Educação: “Estado do Conhecimento” nas pesquisas acadêmicas

Um dos pontos de partida dessa pesquisa foi a constatação da existência do racismo que estrutura as relações sociais e institucionais no Brasil. Relações que são construídas, dessa forma, a partir de valores contraditórios, atribuindo privilégios para a população branca, em detrimento dos sujeitos não-brancos. Nessa perspectiva, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo fazer um balanço bibliográfico das produções acadêmicas no campo da educação, que utilizaram branquitude como categoria analítica. Entende-se por branquitude, um construto sócio-histórico, da identidade racial do branco, e suas ações em prol da manutenção dos seus privilégios materiais e simbólicos, que forjam um construto ideológico de poder, pelo qual hierarquias sociais, políticas, econômicas e ideológicas ratificam brancos no topo da pirâmide e negros na base. Como procedimento metodológico foram utilizados os recursos de estudos identificados como “Estado da Arte” ou “do Conhecimento”. Nosso intuito foi elencar, identificar e cotejar, no período compreendido entre os anos de 2012 a 2022, quantas e quais pesquisas acadêmicas foram produzidas, tendo como foco a branquitude como categoria de análise na área da educação. A coleta dos dados foi realizada a partir da Plataforma Sucupira. Os dados do estudo demonstraram que as pesquisas sobre branquitude no campo da educação ainda são irrisórias. No entanto, defendemos que o conceito, como categoria analítica e política, é um elemento importante para a luta antirracista, especialmente no contexto escolar, por auxiliar na desconstrução das relações hierarquizadas, fruto das heranças do projeto colonizador.
One of the starting points of this research was the finding of the existence of racism that structures social and institutional relations in Brazil. Relations which are constructed from conflicting values, attributing different privileges to the white people, to the detriment of nonwhite people. From this standpoint, the current research aims to make a bibliographic balance of academic productions in the field of education, which had used whiteness as an analytical category. Whiteness is understood by a socio-historical construct of the racial identity of white people- and their actions in favor of maintaining their material and symbolic privileges, which forge an ideological construct of power that creates a social, economic, political and ideological hierarchy, that ratify whites at the top of the pyramid and blacks at the bottom. The methodology was based on the procedures of studies of the “State of the Art” or “Knowledge”, with aims at of listing, identifying and classifying, in the period between from 2012 to 2022, how many and which academic researchers were produced based on whiteness as a category of analysis in the field of education. The data collection was performed using the Sucupira Platform. It is possible to realize that the researches on whiteness in the field of education are still negligible, since the concept as an analytical and political category is an important element for the antiracist struggle, especially in the school context, as it helps in the deconstruction of relationships hierarchical as a result of the legacies of the colonizing project.
