Resumo
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo de estudo avaliar o efeito da suplementação
com base de nitrato inorgânico para indivíduos praticantes de atividade física.
Visa-se avaliar os efeitos, debater as influências e comparar o desempenho dos
usuários de nitrato. Utiliza-se como base a bibliografia acadêmica, bem como
fundamentação teórica respectiva ao tema, tendo como base de dados PUBMED e
Scielo, publicados no período de 2001 a 2021. Este estudo identificou que a
utilização de óxido nítrico tem causado efeitos positivos no contexto nutricional e
esportivo, devido à influência de avanço no desempenho físico e saúde humana,
bem como o desenvolvimento muscular de praticantes de esportes. A partir de sua
utilização pôde-se identificar o possível potencial do nitrato e seus precursores em
aumentar a capacidade de suportar o exercício físico por mais tempo durante a
prática, assim como outros efeitos, tais como, aumento de força, maior captação de
oxigênio durante prática de exercícios extenuantes e, na diminuição e na
colaboração para controle da pressão arterial, a partir da sua capacidade de
autorregulação do fluxo sanguíneo. Entretanto, identifica-se que são necessários
mais estudos científicos com carácter investigatório, com realização de ensaios
clínicos, para maior possibilidade de investigação quanto a real eficácia, bem como
dosagem e tempo de suplementação necessários para obtenção de resultados
relevantes. Conclui-se que ainda não há qualquer teoria finalizada sobre o tema,
sendo necessária a utilização contínua de pesquisa acadêmica e científica sobre o
tema.
The present work aims to study the effect of supplementation based on inorganic nitrate for individuals who practice physical activity. The aim is to assess the effects, debate the influences and compare the performance of nitrate users. The academic bibliography is used as a basis, as well as the theoretical foundation related to the theme, based on PUBMED and Scielo, published in the period 2001 to 2021. This study identified that the use of nitric oxide has had positive effects in the nutritional context and sports, due to the influence of advancement on physical performance and human health, as well as the muscle development of sports practitioners. From its use, it was possible to identify the possible potential of nitrate and its precursors to increase the ability to withstand physical exercise for longer during practice, as well as other effects, such as increased strength, greater oxygen uptake during practice of strenuous exercises and, in the reduction and collaboration to control blood pressure, from its capacity to self-regulate blood flow. However, it is identified that more scientific studies with an investigative nature are needed, with clinical trials, for greater possibility of investigation as to the real efficacy, as well as the dosage and time of supplementation necessary to obtain relevant results. It is concluded that there is still no finalized theory on the subject, requiring the continued use of academic and scientific research on the subject
