Resumo
Este trabalho trata do estudo do gênero Croton L. (Euphorbiaceae) no Parque Estadual do Juquery (PEJ), localizado no Estado de São Paulo, que representa uma importante e rica amostra de vegetação de Cerrado e Mata Atlântica. Croton L. é o segundo maior gênero da família Euphorbiaceae, possui 1200 espécies distribuídas principalmente em regiões tropicais de todo o mundo. No Brasil é representado por 300 espécies. O gênero pode ser reconhecido por um conjunto de características que incluem látex colorido ou incolor, folhas frequentemente com glândulas no ápice do pecíolo junto a lâmina foliar e flores pistiladas com pétalas reduzidas. O estudo foi baseado em coleções de herbário e na observação das espécies em campo. No levantamento realizado foram encontradas 5 espécies de Croton, sendo elas: C. lundianus, C. vulnerarius, C. didrichsenii, C. urucurana e C. floribundus, dados diferentes do levantamento realizado no PEJ em 2013. Neste trabalho são apresentados: chave de identificação, descrições, fotos, comentários sobre a distribuição geográfica, habitat e um guia para identificação das espécies de Croton encontradas no PEJ.
This study treats the genus Croton L. (Euphorbiaceae) in the Juquery State Park (PEJ), located in the State of São Paulo, representing an important and rich sample of Cerrado and Atlantic Forest vegetation. Croton L. is the second largest genus of the Euphorbiaceae family, has 1200 species distributed mainly in tropical regions around the world. In Brazil it is represented by 300 species. The genus can be recognized by a set of characteristics that include colored or colorless latex, leaves often with glands at the apex of the petiole along the leaf blade, and pistillate flowers with reduced petals. The study was based on collections of herbarium and in the observation of species in the field. In the survey carried out, 5 species of Croton were found, namely: C. lundianus, C. vulnerarius, C. didrichsenii, C. urucurana and C. floribundus, different data from the survey carried out in PEJ in 2013. In this work are presented: identification key, descriptions, photos, comments on the geographic distribution, habitat and a guide for the identification of Croton species found in PEJ.
