O presente trabalho busca apresentar um estudo sobre o conceito de prudência (phrónesis) à luz da perspectiva filosófica exposta no livro VI da obra Ethica Nicomachea em Aristóteles. Partindo desta análise, tornar-se-á possível encaminhar uma reflexão acerca dos valores éticos assimilados pelo homem e, por conseguinte compreender os aspectos constitutivos da formação virtuosa de seu caráter. Nesse sentido, busca-se refletir sobre a seguinte questão: De que modo o homem prudente (phrónimos) pode orientar a deliberação racional para alcançar a felicidade? Assim, portanto, consideramos relevante ponderar sobre as questões que envolvem o modo de pensar e agir do homem prudente.
The present work seeks to present a study on the concept of prudence (phrónēsis) in the light of the philosophical perspective exposed in book VI of the work Ethica Nicomachea by Aristotle. Starting from this analysis, it will become possible to conduct a reflection on the ethical values assimilated by man and, therefore, to understand the constitutive aspects of the virtuous formation of his character. In this sense, seeks to reflect on the following question: How can the prudent man (phrónimos) guide rational deliberation to achieve happiness? So, therefore, we consider it relevant to ponder on issues involving the prudent man's way of thinking and acting.
