trabalho. Nos laboratórios acadêmicos, a segurança do trabalho normatiza a conduta dos
pesquisadores e previne acidentes envolvendo material biológico, químico ou radioativo. Neste
Working is an essential activity for the society to develop. However, when people are exposed to bad job conditions, their physical, psychological, and emotional integrity are put in danger. Labor safety was created to develop the well-being of employees through accident preventions and regimentation of job conditions. At the academic laboratories, labor safety stablishes rules to the researchers’ conduct and helps to prevent accidents involving biological, chemical, or radioactive materials. In this context, this article aims to analyze two laboratories of the Federal University of São Paulo and expose which risks they represent, in addition to elaborate a map of risk to each one of them. In order to do that, the methodology consisted of bibliography research about the current subject, visiting each laboratory and analyzing them. During the visits, a script was fulfilled: place acknowledgement to elaborate a sketch; photographic records; and an interview with the laboratory’s responsible. These data were compiled to identify the risks of each laboratory, enabling the production of a map of risks. The data obtained from the visits made it possible to affirm that both laboratories show the same risks: chemicals, physicists, mechanicals and ergonomic. However, they are shown in different intensities. The Physics Laboratory only low intensity risks. On the other hand, the Biology Laboratory represents a big risk of chemical accident due to the wrong storage of reagents in household refrigerators. As for the suggested changes to each one of them, both laboratories need to add an emergency shower to their infrastructure. Besides, it is necessary to improve the conduct inside the laboratories since it is apparently not obligatory to use Personal Protective Equipment
