Abandonment and exclusion, which have been designated as madness over the preceding years, are being replaced by resources and devices that aim to allow people in mental suffering to recover their social ties. The family plays an important role in health care and the literature places it both as an original part of psychological suffering and as an important means of care. Occupational Therapy and Integrative and Complementary Practices as fields of knowledge promote interventions that privilege integrality in health care by using resources to reduce the process of social medicalization. This study aims to monitor and analyze the group process with families served at the CAPSi #tamojunto in Santos/SP, based on the principles of Occupational Therapy associated with the resources of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a qualitative research with method-intervention related to the involvement of families in the analysis of their own reality and to promote reflections that help them to manage the problems experienced in their daily lives. The research instruments were the field diary and semi-structured interviews. Six family members participated, in a total of eight meetings that took place from August 27th, 2019, to December 8th of the same year. In the analysis of the group process, it was found that the meetings potentialized in the participants the willingness to take care of their health, including a change in habits, the redimensioning of their role in family relationships and self-care, which are essential
