This paper presents a bibliographicalreview on the theme of refuge and the educational context in the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature databases and in the CAPES / MEC Journal Portal of publications (March to June 2019). Part of the research was also comprised of searching documents specifically from two sources related to refugee policies and guidelines: the UNHCR, because it is a WHO’s organ that deals with these issues; and the São Paulo City Hall for being the only one in the process of developing a refugee policy. Subsequently, for the analysis and systematization of the obtained data, the information was organized in a database regarding the authorship, year and periodical of publication and country of origin. In the selection of documents, the inclusion criteria were those that addressed 1) the refuge theme, specifically involving children and adolescents; 2) obtain focus of this population in the school environment; 3) report on the consequences that the refuge would affect in these children and / or adolescents. After reading the texts in full, only 10 were used because they met the inclusion criteria. The articles were grouped into three categories of analysis that most appeared during the review and were presented in more detail, namely: challenges of immigration and interculturality, children and / or adolescents, and portrayal of the school community. The analysis of the bibliographic production allowed the visualization of fragments of the wide panorama that is the refuge and its implications. Although the researched corpus was weakened, it was possible to highlight the importance of the school community for refugee children and adolescents
