Vulnerabilidade ao papilomavirus humano (HPV) entre mulheres que fazem sexo com mulheres

Abstract

HPVs are responsible for triggering infections are highly prevalent among STDs, highlighting its relationship to the development of various types of cancers, among which the CA of the Cervix - the second leading cause of cancer mortality among women. Transmitted in any sexual practice, women who have sex with women are susceptible to infection , underscoring the fact that they are invisible, by reference health issues .Given this arises the purpose of identifying knowledge, ideas and risk prevention practices in relation to STD in general and HPV, particularly among MSM in order to subsidize intervention. The study was conducted with LGBT attending three points from the application of 149 questionnaires with open and closed questions, followed by focus groups, one in each location, with reference to the vulnerability perspective. Provided in a variety of sexual practices, they do not use protective devices, which expose them to infection by HPV. Prevention, therefore, is restricted to hygiene and confidence in partner, next to the medical control. it is worth saying that the whole sample was found a prevalence (self-reported) of 6.8 % for HPV infection. To disregard the importance of STDs in female homosexuality, they attribute the danger of transmission to humans, mediated penetration - by analogy to AIDS. Given the limited knowledge about the transmission and prevention of HPV, they express the desire to have more information available about it. Found the situation of vulnerability to HPV / STD , it is necessary not only preparation of health professionals in the care demands of MSM, as the extent of information media focused on this specific segment.

Os HPVs são responsáveis pelo desencadeamento de infecções altamente prevalentes dentre as DSTs, destacando-se sua relação com o desenvolvimento de vários tipos de cânceres, dentre os quais o CA de Colo de Útero - segunda causa de mortalidade por câncer entre as mulheres. Transmitido em qualquer prática sexual, mulheres que fazem sexo com mulheres são suscetíveis à infecção, ressaltando o fato de serem invisíveis, por referência as questões de saúde. Diante disto coloca-se o propósito de identificar conhecimentos, concepções de risco e práticas preventivas em relação às DSTs, em geral, e o HPV, em particular, entre MSM, tendo em vista subsidiar medidas de intervenção. O estudo foi realizado com frequentadoras de três points LGBT a partir da aplicação de 149 questionários com perguntas abertas e fechadas, seguido da realização de grupos focais, um em cada localidade, tendo por referência a perspectiva da vulnerabilidade. Num quadro diversificado de práticas sexuais, elas não fazem uso de dispositivos de proteção, o que as expõem a contaminação pelo HPV. A prevenção, nestas condições, se restringe a higiene e confiança na parceira, ao lado do controle médico. Vale dizer que no conjunto amostral foi encontrada uma prevalência (autorreferida) de 6,8% de infecção pelo HPV. Ao desconsiderarem a relevância das DSTs na homossexualidade feminina, elas atribuem o perigo da transmissão ao homem, mediado pela penetração – por analogia a AIDS. Diante do conhecimento limitado sobre a transmissão e prevenção do HPV, elas expressam o desejo de ter disponibilizadas mais informações a respeito. Constatado o quadro de vulnerabilidade ao HPV/DSTs, se faz necessário não só o preparo de profissionais de saúde no acolhimento as demandas das MSM, como a extensão de informações midiáticas especificas voltadas para este segmento.
