- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)“¡Aparición con vida!”: a importância da trajetória das Madres de Plaza de Mayo para os direitos humanos(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2015-12-15) Figueiredo, Marina [UNIFESP]; Comparato, Bruno Konder [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Over the years there has been a significant institutional and normative strengthening of the principles of human rights translated through Treaties and Conventions. This does not mean that these principles are promoted to social reality, since serious violations of human rights still linger around the world. So, there is a practical limit to bet only on institutional and regulatory aspects as a form of protection and promotion of human rights. Therefore, the challenge is to investigate other ways in which human rights can be an important emancipatory tool that promotes in practice, its own principles. The policies carried out by the dynamic social movement Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, in the context of the last dictatorship in Argentina, found alternative ways of doing politics able to promote human rights principles involving emancipative results in practice.

In 2013, the Municipal Department of Health in the city of Santos/SP started the work of the Municipal Conductor Group, which follow the guidelines developed by the Ministry of Health and provides for the points of attention mix to the health care of people with disabilities, developing the design of municipal care network and the contract of its points of attention. This research aimed to study the historical background of the Municipal Conductor Group in the construction of the Person Care Network with Disabilities in Santos, from March 2014 to December 2016. The choice of thematic oral history method, through narratives of the journeys of Municipal Conductor Group members, contributed to the construction of a narrative that enables the understanding of the links between the group's history, the care model proposed by the Health Care Network for People with Disabilities and the redefinition of health practices related to this population in the municipality. Aspects related to the conception of disability and personal constructs about the care representations emerged in a recurring way in the narratives, as well as the power of the GCM in strengthening health policies for this public. The results showed that people with disabilities need more accessible practices and services that address their needs.

METHOD: With an oversampling of girls, a cross-section of youth under 18 years of age from juvenile detention units in the city of São Paulo, Brazil completed a structured interview. Key items related to exposure to violence (witnessed and experienced) were drawn from the Social and Health Assessment questionnaire to cover the 12-month period prior to incarceration. RESULTS: Participants (n = 325, 89% boys) reported high rates of exposure to violence with largely similar levels for boys and girls. Being threatened with physical harm, being beaten or mugged and/ or shot at were the most common forms of violence experienced. After controlling for demographic and family variables, the fact of having peers involved in risk behavior, easy access to guns and previous involvement with the justice system were associated with witnessed violence; whereas having slept on the street was the only variable associated with experienced violence. CONCLUSION: This group of youth was exposed to high levels of violence and other adverse experiences. Future research should examine the effectiveness of strategies aimed at reducing the exposure to violence of high-risk youth.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosA judicialização da saúde mental e suas interfaces com a rede de atenção psicossocial(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2014-11-28) Pedrosa, Tacianna Bandim [UNIFESP]; Moreira, Maria Inês Badaró [UNIFESP]; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1186084305231587; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5932150122554433; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)This research reveals the Mental Health Networks of users of a Psychosocial Attention Center III (CAPS III) of São Vicente, in Santos, from the look of judicialized users. We have mapped how the network of each one of these subjects was constituted at the time when the Public Prosecutor?s Office (MP) and/or the Judiciary (PJ) had actuated. We aim to meet and analyze the various users? networks of a CAPS III, in addition to the established Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS): identifying the tended subjects profiles; mapping the affective network, the support network and the established RAPS. This was followed by a draft of qualitative research with participant observation and semi-structured interviews with users who were in full hospitality (HI) in CAPS III and that were quoted by the MP/PJ in 2011/2012, in addition to medical records analysis of these subjects. Data were analyzed via Bardin content analysis. Results: 191 users tended in HI in 2011/2012, among these, 12 were quoted by the MP or PJ, 6 remain in CAPS III, or in the municipality RAPS; 7 men and 5 women; 30 were routed to PAI (Intensive Care Center) during the HI. Prevails among men the abusive use of psychoactives. Were found 30 response official letters to the MP and 11 to PJ. The information of the subjects on the records are basic. 6.2% of the subjects in HI were quoted by MP or PJ. Conclusions: The interviews suggest weaknesses in the RAPS as lack of equipment and links, as well as pointing to clinical issues that, given the complexity of the cases, escape the health field and advance to the legal field. The affective network is pointed out as consisting of family members, professionals in CAPS and other cross sector equipment. Individual therapeutic project and reference professional in some cases are nonexistent. There has been a disinvestment in the number of professionals if compared to the present, by the moment of the service opening (after intervention at the Casa de Saúde Anchieta). In Attention to the crisis overcomes the medical-centered thinking, having as main response the medicalization. It is lacking sheltering devices for urgency and emergency in RAPS, creating a conflict between the field of mental health law and the subjective peculiarities of each case. It is pointed out as urgency: the resumption of the concept of psychosocial care relevant to CAPS device; the practice of dialogue with the cross sector departments of RAPS, as justice mechanisms; accountability for the attention to the crisis in CAPS III, inserting other cross sector partners.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Tráfico de pessoas e exploração sexual na União Europeia: políticas securitárias de combate ao crime organizado versus políticas de garantia de direitos às vítimas?(Universidade Federal de São Paulo, 2023-01-10) Espinoza, Mariana Campoamor [UNIFESP]; Carvalho, Daniel Campos de [UNIFESP]; Sebastião Junior, Acácio Augusto [UNIFESP]; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9298810663986704; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0250387190883006Human trafficking is one of the main transnational organized crimes, presenting characteristics that place it in the context of International Security and Human Rights. Therefore, the research converges on the question of how the European Parliament and the European Council, both institutions of the European Union, understand and build legislative and legal commitments to combat human trafficking for sexual exploitation. For this, using as a cut-off date the approval of the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, in 2006, until today, the research aims to understand the possible contemporary phenomenon of securitization of the issue and how this hurts the protection and guarantee of rights for victims involved in the crime. With this, the present research proposes to follow a descriptive and explanatory profile, in order to understand and define primordial terms about the theme, as well as to study and describe the official documents of the European Union institutions related to the policy of combating trafficking in persons for sexual exploitation, tracing the profile of the commitments presented by the bloc and comparing its data with the data presented by the main anti-trafficking NGOs active in the region. Based on the results gathered in this process, the research proposes not only to define the mold and nature of the bloc's anti-crime and victim protection policies, but also to understand the causes of their construction.
