Introduction: Among Healthcare Related Infections (Hre), Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (Vap) Is Considered A Serious Adverse Event That Affects Patients In Health Services, Especially In The Intensive Care Unit. Objective: To Evaluate The Adherence Of Health Professionals To A Set Of Good Practices In The Prevention Vap, Compliance Index To Individual Measures And Association With Pneumonia. Methods: A Prospective Cohort Study Performed At An Intensive Care Unit Of A University Hospital From May To October 2017. The Study Population Consisted Of Patients Hospitalized During The Study Period, Who Met The Criteria For Inclusion; The Data Collection Was Performed Through Medical Records, Including Clinical And Demographic Variables, As Well As Measures For The Prevention Of Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia Instituted In The Study Unit. A Descriptive Statistical Analysis Was Performed, Considering The Variables Of Interest And Univariate Analysis For The Evaluation Of Adherence To The Measures Of Prevention Of V
