The aim of this work is to investigate what has been discussed in research in the State of São Paulo in Mathematical Education related to deaf students. To constitute the analysis material, a survey was carried out according to pre-established criteria in the CAPES, UNESP, IFSP, USP, UFSCAR and UNIAN research database in search of master's dissertations and doctoral theses that dealt with the theme. Ten master's dissertations and three doctoral dissertations were selected for analysis, all published between the years 2013 and 2017. Methodologically, this study stands out as a meta-analysis, a documentary study in which a systematic review of a set of researches is sought, a synthesis of these productions. By reading these selected surveys, categories emerged that allowed the meta-analysis of the texts to be carried out, to promote dialogue between them, highlighting their similarities and discrepancies. The analysis of the research revealed to us that the learning of the deaf student does not differ in great part from the learning of the listening student, but the question of the Brazilian Sign Language is a difficult aspect of this process. In addition, it reinforces the need for a concept of valuing training over disabilities, the need to invest in teacher training and the insertion of the discipline of Brazilian Sign Language in undergraduate courses, bilingualism as a proposal considered more viable for that of the deaf and the difficulties encountered in the relationship between mathematics and deafness. At the conclusion of the work, a compilation of these surveys is presented.
