Introduction: Injuries in soccer are one of the main factors for the athlete not being able to reach his high competitive level, hindering his career and the performance of his team in competitions. Objective: Identification of risk factors for injuries in athletes who play soccer. Methods: A pubmed search was carried out to identify systematic reviews on risk factors for injuries in soccer athletes, prevalent injuries and gender, the groups analyzed were male and female athletes from the youth, amateur and professional category. Methods: A pubmed search was carried out to identify systematic reviews on risk factors for injuries in soccer athletes, prevalent injuries and gender, the groups analyzed were male and female athletes from the youth, amateur and professional category. Results: 75 studies were identified, but only 8 studies fit the inclusion criteria. When analyzing the data, we came to the conclusion that the most frequent injury in all the analyzed groups is the muscle group, with the hamstring muscle group being the most affected, but there is no consensus between which risk factors for this to happen, regardless of gender or competitive level. Final considerations: It was concluded that the most prevalent sex among the studies was male, being in the professional, amateur or juvenile category. However, athletes in the youth category have a higher incidence of injury, with the greatest risk factor being the athlete's position on the field, midfielders, are the ones with the highest risk.
