O ciclo gravídico-puerperal por si só é um momento de muitas mudanças e desafios pra mulher, mas quando há intersecção com raça surge problemáticas exclusivas, trazendo assim a necessidade de cuidado e rede apoio que considerem as singularidades dessa gestante/puérpera negra-parda. O objetivo desse estudo é compreender como redes de apoio influenciaram a vivência da maternidade negra e parda de mulheres que escolheram apoiar outras mães após suas vivências pessoais. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, com técnica de narrativas. O estudo incluiu mulheres negras ou pardas que participaram do projeto de extensão "Abrace seu mundo:estreitando vínculos parentais". Primeiro ocorreu uma entrevista semi-estruturada, depois transcrição e então feito narrativas, as quais foram analisadas e comparadas através da análise de conteúdo. Os resultados mostraram que a maternidade é determinada pelo auto-reconhecimento de raça e traz crescimento pessoal. A experiência do parto é influenciada por sentimentos de preparação, segurança e do tratamento dado pelos profissionais; a rede de apoio é importante durante todo ciclo gravidico-puerperal sendo determinante para um desfecho positivo e também mostrou que a prática de técnicas parentais podem suavizar a vivência do puerpério e aumentar a independência da mulher. Conclui-se que ter uma rede apoio pode resignificar a percepção da maternidade, trazendo pertencimento, criação de laços e cuidado para a mulher, e isso pode influenciar na motivação dessas mulheres para estarem em projetos de apoio a outras mulheres.
The pregnancy-puerperal cycle alone is a time of many changes and challenges for women, but when there is an intersection with race, problems unique to this population arise, thus bringing the need for care and support network that consider the singularities of this pregnant / puerperal black woman. The objective of this study is to understand how support networks influenced the experience of black and brown maternity of women who chose to support other mothers after their personal experiences.It is a qualitative study, with narrative technique. The study included black or brown women who participated in the extension project "Embrace your world: strengthening parental ties". First there was a semi-structured interview, then transcription and then narratives, which were analyzed and compared through content analysis. The results showed that motherhood is determined by self-recognition of race and brings personal growth;the childbirth experience is influenced by feelings of preparation, security and the treatment given by the professionals; the support network is important throughout the pregnancy-puerperal cycle, being decisive for a positive outcome; and also showed that the practice of parenting techniques can soften the postpartum experience and increase women's independence. It is concluded that having a support network can reframe the perception of motherhood, bringing belonging, creating bonds and caring for women, and this can influence the motivation of these women to be in projects to support other women.
