dc.description.abstractIntrodução: A Avaliação Cognitiva Dinâmica de Terapia Ocupacional para crianças (DOTCA-Ch) é um instrumento de avaliação específico para terapeutas ocupacionais, que avalia o desempenho cognitivo de crianças com idade de 6 a 12 anos, em 22 subtestes dinâmicos distribuídos em cinco áreas cognitivas: Orientação, Percepção Espacial, Práxis, Construção Visuomotora e Operações de Pensamento. Objetivo: Analisar o desempenho cognitivo de estudantes com idade de 9 anos da rede municipal de ensino em diferentes regiões da cidade de Santos/SP. Método: O estudo foi realizado em parceria com a Secretária de Educação da Prefeitura Municipal de Santos, em quatro escolas da rede municipal de ensino de quatro regiões diferentes da cidade, com 40 estudantes do 4º ano com idade de 9 anos, dez crianças por região, de ambos os gêneros, e sem alteração cognitiva. As avaliações foram realizadas no período de agosto de 2015 a outubro de 2017. Resultados: O gênero predominante das quatro escolas foi o feminino (n=23). A escola da região que apresentou maiores pontuações nas áreas cognitivas avaliadas por mais vezes foi da Orla, e as menores pontuações foi a do Centro. O nível de mediação mais utilizado foi o feedback específico (nível 3). A escola da região que utilizou por mais vezes este nível de mediação foi do Centro, e a escola que utilizou por menos vezes foi da Orla. Considerações Finais: A Bateria DOTCA-Ch mostrou-se eficiente para analisar a diferença do desempenho cognitivo das crianças por regiões onde estudam em Santos/SP, em decorrência das diferentes pontuações e necessidades de mediações, considerando, portanto, diferentes habilidades e limitações das crianças por regiões. A partir dos resultados desta pesquisa, será analisado qualitativamente o impacto do contexto social e da dinâmica familiar influenciando o desempenho cognitivo das crianças por regiões com as menores pontuações nas avaliaçõespt_BR
dc.description.abstractIntroduction: The Dynamic Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment for children (DOTCA-Ch) is a specific evaluation instrument for occupational therapist which assesses the cognitive performance for children with age between 6 and 12 years old, in 22 dynamic subtests distributed in 5 cognitive areas: orientation, spatial perception, praxis, visuomotor construction and thought operations. Objectives: Analyze the cognitive performance of students aged 9 years of the municipal school system in different regions of the city of Santos/SP. Methods: The study was carried out in partnership with the Secretary of Education of the Municipality of Santos, in four schools of the municipal education network of four different regions of the city, with 40 students of the 4th year of age of 9 years, 10 (ten) children by region, of both genders, and without cognitive alteration. The choice of the children evaluated was made by the professionals of the schools. The evaluations were carried out from August 2015 to October 2017. Results: The predominant gender of the four schools was the female gender (n = 23). The school in the region that presented the highest scores in the cognitive areas evaluated more often was the Orla, and the lowest scores were those of the Center. The most used level of mediation was the three, of specific feedback. The school in the region that used this level of mediation more often was from the Center, and the school that used it for less was Orla. Conclusion: The DOTCA-Ch proved to be efficient in analyzing the difference in children's cognitive performance in regions where they study in Santos / SP, due to the different scores and needs of mediations, thus considering different abilities and limitations of children by region. From the results of this research, the impact of the social context and family dynamics will be qualitatively analyzed, influencing children's cognitive performance by regions with the lowest scores in the evaluationsen
