Resumo
O presente estudo pretende expor e desenvolver, criticamente, a noção de sujeito na sua
relação com o modo de existência do pensamento, tal como fora desenvolvida na doutrina
averroísta do século XII. Para tanto, demonstraremos como ocorreu, no Ocidente, uma
coincidência entre a discussão sobre a realidade do sujeito e a reflexão sobre a origem e a
natureza do conhecimento. Visando a extrair as consequências políticas implicadas nessa
coincidência, apoiar-nos-emos nos comentários de Averróis sobre Aristóteles para apresentar
a topologia especial manifesta na irreparável fratura existente entre o pensamento e a vida
individual, problematizando suas implicações e consequências políticas nas obras de Tomás
de Aquino e de Giorgio Agamben.
The present study intends to expose and critically develop the notion of subject in its relation with the mode of existence of thought, as it was developed in the averroist doctrine of the 12th century. For this we will demonstrate how in the West a coincidence between the discussion about the reality of the subject and the reflection on the origin and nature of knowledge came to pass. Aiming at the extraction of the political consequences implied in this coincidence, we will base ourselves in Averroes' commentaries on Aristotle to present the special topology manifest in the irreparable fracture between thought and individual life, problematizing its implications and political consequences in the oeuvres of Thomas Aquinas and Giorgio Agamben.
