A metodologia principal é o uso do
Considering that the advancement of demographic growth in large urban centers in recent decades has been one of the reasons for the important changes in the urban landscape, this paper aims to understand the relationship between land use and land cover characteristics in the municipality of Diadema and the diagnosis of solid waste generation. For this, the work must achieve some specific objectives such as: the elaboration of the land use and land cover classification of the years 1974 and 2011; presentation of the diagnosis of solid waste; the presentation of the social conditions of the citizens; integrated socioenvironmental analysis of landscape data in relation to inappropriate waste disposal in the municipality and, finally, scenarios that were presented in the municipal and waste management master plans (national, state, regional and municipal levels) will be discussed, as well as as will be presented some actions that aim to provide subsidy for the elaboration and consolidation of efficient public policies. The main methodology is the use of GIS - Geographic Information System, with Arcgis software. The classification of land use and land cover has shown that over the years there has been a replacement of green areas, areas of anthropic fields and areas of low density that went from 23.27km² in 1974 to 7.96km² in 2011, with areas of occupation. dense and industrial growth from 7.14km² in 1974 to 22.37km² in 2011. While waste generation has grown steadily from 51,823t / year in 1992 to 109,532t / year in 2017, this is due to population growth Of region. It was also possible to observe a strong correlation between inadequate waste disposal and highly dense urban occupation, as well as the presence of industries. The Integrated Environmental Analysis, made up of all the data and analyzes presented, allows to provide guidance to the city, so that efforts and resources can be reallocated to priority areas.
