Resumo
A sustentabilidade nas organizações tem sido cada vez mais debatida e solicitada nas organizações tanto pela população quanto pelos investidores, se torna cada vez mais necessário ter sistemas econômicos, ecológicos e sociais integrados, a fim de garantir a manutenção das atividades e do ambiente em que está inserido. No Brasil, com a intenção de mensurar as se as empresas possuem um comprometimento com a sustentabilidade foi criado o indicador índice de Sustentabilidade Empresarial (ISE). Os resultados encontrados auxiliam em demonstrar se as empresas que foram anunciadas como participantes do ISE, obtiveram retornos positivos na janela observada quando comparadas com as empresas de um Grupo de Controle. Estes resultados podem servir de apoio para os processos de tomada de decisão dos acionistas, e no estabelecimento de políticas relacionadas às práticas de sustentabilidade nas organizações.
