O tema saúde no discurso dos professores de Educação Física no município de Itanhaém-SP

O enlace da saúde com a Educação Física esteve presente na área desde sua gênese e na escola
esse elo influenciou o modo em que a disciplina foi desenvolvida, sua legitimidade e a
compreensão generalista como a única responsável pelas ações de saúde. Essa relação
apresentou uma predominância do viés da aptidão física, uma causalidade entre atividade física
e saúde de maneira restrita, que acaba por desconsiderar os condicionantes e determinantes
sociais envolvidos nesse processo, o que faz necessário investigar como pensam e em quais
perspectivas o tema saúde vem sendo explorado pelos professores da disciplina. Desse modo,
o objetivo do estudo consistiu em compreender o discurso dos professores de Educação Física
no ensino fundamental II em relação à saúde em escolas públicas no município de ItanhaémSP. Para tanto, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa de campo exploratória com professores de
Educação Física do ensino fundamental II do município de Itanhaém-SP. Participaram do
estudo 16 professores, de ambos os sexos, efetivos da rede municipal de educação. O
instrumento de coleta de dados utilizado no estudo foi a entrevista semiestruturada e a análise
dos dados ocorreu por meio de categorias não-apriorísticas. Como resultados foi possível
identificar no discurso dos professores o predomínio de uma concepção e relação restrita de
saúde. Contudo, apesar da carência de definição teórica, surgiram também, indícios que
caminham na direção de uma prática pedagógica com uma concepção ampliada de saúde. Essa
escassez de arcabouço teórico pode ser consequência de uma formação com pouca aproximação
e debates relacionados às questões de saúde. Pode-se concluir que a abordagem do tema saúde
tem sido desenvolvido próximo de uma concepção restrita de saúde. Esse tipo de abordagem
está relacionado a uma vertente fomentadora de saúde. Além disso, os professores de Educação
Física parecem fundamentar o tema saúde, principalmente, por meio da informação
The link between health and Physical Education has been present in the area since its genesis and at school this link has influenced the way in which the discipline was developed, its legitimacy and the generalist understanding as the only person responsible for health actions. This relationship showed a predominance of the physical fitness bias, a causality between physical activity and health in a restricted way, which ends up disregarding the constraints and social determinants involved in this process, which makes it necessary to investigate how they think and in which perspectives the health theme comes from being explored by the professors of the discipline. Thus, the objective of the study was to understand the discourse of teachers of Physical Education in Elementary School II in relation to health in public schools in the municipality of Itanhaém-SP. For that, an exploratory field research was developed with physical education teachers of elementary school II in the city of Itanhaém-SP. Sixteen male and female teachers from the municipal education network participated in the study. The data collection instrument used in the study was the semi-structured interview and data analysis occurred through non-aprioristic categories. As a result, it was possible to identify in the teachers' speech the predominance of a restricted conception and relationship of health. However, despite the lack of theoretical definition, there were also indications that move in the direction of a pedagogical practice with an expanded conception of health. This scarcity of theoretical framework may be a consequence of training with little approximation and debates related to health issues. It can be concluded that the approach to health theme has been developed close to a restricted conception of health. This type of approach is related to a healthpromoting aspect. In addition, Physical Education teachers seem to support the health theme, mainly through information.
