Immersed in the cyberculture era, the system has been betting on innovations in the ways of producing health care in the country, relying on the digital media and virtual social networks as allies in this process, following its new rhythms of content production and scientific dissemination. Goals: To analyze the production of content and the interactions generated from the sharing of posts about diabetes on Instagram. On one hand, following the Ministry of Health profile and, on the other, the one of a digital influencer who lives with this condition and shares her daily life on the network. Materials and Methods: This is a qualitative research that uses virtual ethnography as its methodology. The work was carried out in two stages: the first consisted of monitoring all publications made by the selected profiles as well as the interactions that took place in each publication; the second was a detailed selection, categorization and analysis of the selected publications. Results: The research counted a total of 25 selected posts, five made by the Ministry of Health profile and 20 made by the influencer's profile. We developed six categories to frame and discuss the posts according to the nature of their content. Conclusion: The dissemination of knowledge and sharing of daily life on social networks has advanced and influenced lifestyles and health care, such as self-care for people with diabetes.
