Resumo
Este trabalho analisa as animações japonesas Attack on Titan (Wit Studio, Japão, 2013) e
Code Geass (Sunrise, Japão, 2006), duas produções que, além da grande repercussão nos
ambientes online (atualmente, existem blogs, fóruns, tweets e vídeos que buscam entender
seus enredos de forma mais clara e, principalmente, levantar o debate acerca das escolhas dos
protagonistas: Eren Yeager, de Attack on Titan e Lelouch Lamperouge de Code Geass. Por
meio de uma análise interna, usando como referência ferramentas da sociologia do cinema, a
ideia é destacar a maneira como as lutas e enfrentamentos estão construídas nas duas
produções, dado que a trama de ambas se desenvolve em torno de conflitos que atingem a
sobrevivência da humanidade. A nossa hipótese provisória é a de que a dimensão que tais
conflitos assumem nos animes poderiam remeter à noção de luta de classes.
This paper analyzes the Japanese animations Attack on Titan (Wit Studio, Japan, 2013) and Code Geass (Sunrise, Japan, 2006), two productions that, beyond their significant impact in online environments (presently, there are blogs, forums, tweets, and videos aiming to understand their plots more clearly and, primarily, to raise discussions about the choices of the protagonists: Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan and Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass). Through an internal analysis, employing tools from the sociology of cinema as reference, the idea is to highlight the way in which the conflicts and confrontations are constructed in both productions, given that the storyline of both is developed around conflicts that affect the survival of humanity. Our provisional hypothesis is that the dimension these conflicts assume in the anime could allude to the notion of class struggle.
