Resumo
Elaborada no formato de Trabalho de Conclusão de curso, a presente monografia possui o caráter qualitativo, e tem como objetivo o estudo bibliográfico sobre a educação de crianças cronicamente enfermas, inserindo-se no campo da educação e saúde.
Através de contribuição de estudiosos da área, apresenta aspectos históricos e quantitativos sobre o atendimento educacional especializado no ambiente hospitalar e domiciliar, concebido no Brasil como parte das políticas educacionais na perspectiva da Educação Inclusiva.
Apresenta também os principais embates envoltos acerca da temática, tais como a garantia do direito educacional, desdobramentos que permeiam a profissão docente na perspectiva hospitalar e a falta de políticas públicas em prol da democratização do Ensino.
Prepared in the format of a Course Conclusion Work, this monograph has a qualitative character, and aims at the bibliographic study on the education of chronically ill children, inserting itself in the field of education and health. Through the contribution of scholars in the area, it presents historical and quantitative aspects of specialized educational care in the hospital and home environment, conceived in Brazil as part of educational policies from the perspective of Inclusive Education. It also presents the main conflicts surrounding the theme, such as the guarantee of educational rights, developments that permeate the teaching profession in the hospital perspective and the lack of public policies in favor of the democratization of Education.
