Resumo
O presente estudo tem como principal foco abordar o avanço da tecnologia dentro da área contabil e como o Business Intelligence pode influenciar na tomada de decisão de profissionais da contabilidade gerencial. O objetivo geral é analisar a influência do Business Intelligence na tomada de decisão de profissionais da contabilidade gerencial. Para tanto, definiram-se os seguintes objetivos específicos apresentar o conceito de contabilidade gerencial, apresentar o conceito de Business Intelligence, analisar a evolução tecnológica e a importância dentro da contabilidade, constatar a evolução do profissional contábil e discorrer sobre a importância do Business Intelligence na tomada de decisão na contabilidade gerencial. Abordar o tema BI justifica-se pelo proveito de investigar como os profissionais da contabilidade estão lidando com a alta demanda de informações, e se consideram o BI uma ferramenta importante para a análise dos dados e gestão nos processos decisórios. O presente estudo consiste em pesquisa de caráter descritivo, com os resultados tratados de maneira qualitativa e quantitativa. Com o levantamento de informações ao longo da pesquisa e da análise das informações, foi possível concluir que o BI permite uma visão mais ampla do negócio, e contribui para que os profissionais façam entregas mais rápidas e com mais qualidade.
The main focus of this study is to address the advancement of technology within the accounting area and how Business Intelligence can influence the decision-making of management accounting professionals. The general objective is to analyze the influence of Business Intelligence in the decision making of management accounting professionals. Therefore, the following specific objectives were defined to present the concept of management accounting, to present the concept of Business Intelligence, to analyze the technological evolution and the importance within accounting, to verify the evolution of the accounting professional and to discuss the importance of Business Intelligence in decision making in management accounting. Addressing the BI theme is justified by the benefit of investigating how accounting professionals are dealing with the high demand for information, and if they consider BI an important tool for data analysis and management in decision-making processes. The present study consists of a descriptive research, with the results treated in a qualitative and quantitative way. With the collection of information during the research and analysis of the information, it was possible to conclude that BI allows a broader view of the business, and helps professionals to deliver faster and with higher quality.
