This work aims to update and complement Vitor Nascimento's research on mathematical education for deaf students, focusing on the period from 2021 to 2023. The same research methodology used by Nascimento was employed, with the adaptation of the temporal scope. Searches were conducted in various academic databases to identify relevant studies published in São Paulo during this period, resulting in the selection of two significant works, including Nascimento's. The analysis of these works involved the preparation of critical summaries and the development of a thematic map to guide the comparison. The results reveal that both studies complement each other by addressing fundamental aspects of mathematical education for deaf students from different perspectives. This combination of approaches provides a broader and more enriching view of the issues involved, highlighting the importance of considering both specific analyses and the broader context for developing effective and inclusive solutions in deaf education.
