INTRODUÇÃO: Os aplicativos para dispositivos móveis estão evoluindo a cada dia conforme o avanço tecnológico e, nesse sentido, milhares de aparelhos recebem atualizações diárias com foco na melhoria da qualidade de vida de seus usuários, o que poderia impactar positivamente em aplicações na área das ciências da saúde. O uso correto da medicação por um paciente, tanto no que se refere à dose, como ao horário de ingestão, pode ter um impacto relevante no sucesso do seu tratamento. Nesse contexto, o controle desses parâmetros por meio de ferramentas digitais em dispositivos móveis facilmente acessíveis e amplamente distribuídos, como os celulares e “tablets”, poderia ser de grande valia para a comunidade médica e científica. Para pacientes portadores de doença renal crônica, o controle de ingestão de líquidos e o uso correto de medicamentos são essenciais para a melhora do quadro clínico. OBJETIVOS: Dessa maneira, o presente estudo teve por objetivo desenvolver um aplicativo (app) para celulares com o intuito de facilitar o controle do uso de medicamentos e ingestão de líquidos por meio de um monitoramento digital fácil e intuitivo. MATERIAL E MÉTODOS: O protótipo foi desenvolvido no sistema Android, utilizando a linguagem de programação Java, o NODE.JS como servidor e o MONGODB como banco de dados. A população deste estudo, após os períodos de testes e validação, foi constituída por um grupo de pacientes consecutivos que estava em atendimento no ambulatório de Glomerulopatias da UNIFESP e aceitaou participar do estudo após assinatura do termo de consentimento. RESULTADOS:
Após a finalização do aplicativo e da etapa de treino, com uma amostra experimental de 10 pessoas, foi realizado monitoramento da rotina de tratamento de 20 pacientes que foram incluídos no estudo por meio de ações simples de registro e obtenção de lembretes via software. Os dados da frequência de ingestão hídrica e do uso da medicação na hora certa foram computados e armazenados em nuvem. Foi reportada uma frequência de 70% de usabilidade do aplicativo e os pacientes que fizeram uso correto do aplicativo consideraram que tiveram maior controle da ingestão de medicamentos no horário correto e também uma melhor noção da ingestão diária de líquidos, o que certamente impactou de forma positiva no tratamento. CONCLUSÕES: O app desenvolvido neste trabalho mostrou-se seguro e eficaz em alertar os pacientes sobre a importância do uso de sua medicação nos horários corretos e monitorização da ingestão hídrica durante o seu tratamento. Entendemos que esse app pode funcionar como ferramenta acessória simples e acessível para o monitoramento terapêutico, visando melhorias no atendimento e tratamento aos pacientes, tanto para aqueles afetados por doenças renais, como também por outras doenças.
INTRODUCTION: Currently, mobile applications are constantly improving according to technological advances and, in this sense, thousands of devices receive daily updates with focus on life quality of users, which could positively impact their use as beneficial in our healthcare and lifestyle. The correct use of medication by a patient, both in terms of dose and time of ingestion, can have a relevant impact on the success of their treatment. In this context, the control of these parameters through digital software that are easily accessible and widely distributed in mobile devices, such as cell phones and tablets, could be of great value to the medical and scientific community. For patients with chronic kidney disease, the control of fluid intake and the correct use of medication are essential to improve the clinical outcome. OBJECTIVES: Thus, this present work aimed to develop an mobile application (app) for cell phones in order to facilitate the control of medication use and fluid intake, through easy and intuitive digital monitoring. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The prototype was developed on the Android system, using the Java programming language. NODE.JS was used as server and MONGODB as database. The population of this study, after the testing and validation periods, consisted of a group of consecutive patients, who were being treated at the Glomerulopathies outpatient clinic at UNIFESP and who agreed to participate in the study after signing the consent form. RESULTS: After completing the application and the training stage with an experimental sample of 10 people, effective monitoring was carried out with the application of the treatment routine of 20 patients included in the study through simple registration actions and reminders via software. Data on the frequency of water intake and medication use at the right time were computed and stored in the digital cloud. A frequency of 70% usability of the application was reported and patients who used the application correctly considered that they had greater control of medication intake at the correct time, and they related a better notion of daily fluid intake, which could positively impact in their treatment. CONCLUSIONS: The app developed in this work proved to be safe and effective in alerting patients about the importance of their medication and fluid intake during their treatment. We believe that this app can work as a simple and accessible accessory digital tool for therapeutic monitoring, aiming at improving the patients care of both those affected by kidney diseases, as well as other pathologies.
