autocuidado e autocompaixão e importante melhora no relacionamento interpessoal
The hospital environment many times presents itself as an environment of exacerbated emotions. Hospital workers frequently face feelings of pain, stress and impotence regarding situations, those can lead to a state of distancing and even certain coldness with their colleagues, patients and family, generating unnecessary conflict. This study had the objective to develop, implement and evaluate a Mindfulness program to hospital workers. In order to achieve its objectives, a program adapted to use in the hospital service was developed with characteristics that favor the participation of collaborators during their work hours. This program consists of eight one-hour sessions to meditative practices, complementary and integrative practices I health, where the participants take part in practices that allow for the development of a mindfulness state. The decision to utilize a mixed method enabled a better exploration of the results. For the quantitative analysis, the measurements where applied in three different moments, those being before, immediately after and three months after the implementation of the program, at each time the scale of self-compassion, mindfulness, perception of stress, and positive and negative affection where utilized, as well as, the utilization of descriptive statistics. The results were positive for stress reduction, increase in positive affection and reduction of negative affection, and also increase in mindfulness and compassion. The study analyzed the contents of group interviews in the three aforementioned times, those where guided with triggering questions thought of for each respective moment, the answers where analyzed by the software Iramuteq in a qualitative understanding of the data. The results of the analyzed text segments point to the important perception in relation to the auto pilot, that demonstrates an increase in perception of self, increase in self-care and self-compassion, as well as an important improvement of interpersonal relationship in both, professional and familiar environments. After the results analysis, a concomitant triangulation of data was performed, making it possible to verify the impact of the workers’ emotional state in their personal and in their professional lives, the importance of reduction of anxiety and stress, of emotional balance, as well as, development of positive emotions for individual wellness and improvement in interpersonal relationship, leading to a healthier and more welcoming work environment with reflection on internal and external clients.
