A fim
Tentaremos, sobretudo, analisar
This work aims, in addition to establishing interpretative and analytical networks around Água Viva, to encourage literary criticism of the work written and published for the first time in 1973 by Clarice Lispector, a few years before the author's death. In order to dive into the writer's sensory universe, we propose to observe the attempt and the realization of an ongoing transformation during the making of the work: a writing that goes from personal to impersonal (or what comes closest to that). Editorial process that is based on cuts and reductions, mainly with regard to excerpts or autobiographical indexes. The motives known under the terms “Neutral”, “white writing”, or “Writing degree zero”, both proposed and discussed by Roland Barthes throughout his career as a researcher and teacher, will be mobilized. It will be one of our objectives to analyze how these concepts are approached in different works, as in Writing Degree Zero (1953) and in The Neutral (2007), for example; and how these perspectives change over time. Above all, we will try to analyze whether there are, in fact, Neutral nuances in the work Água Viva, and, if so, through which figures he is present. Still: that motive that stages the author's death from Barthes will be summoned, in addition to the discussion about the role of the reader in the work published in 1973.
