This final work seeks to analyze the possibility of convergence between the concepts of beauty and ugliness in art for a construction of meaning and peculiar visual experience. Through the series Hannibal (NBC, 2013 - 2015), the grotesque is explored, which is a strand of ugliness, as a discriminator of repugnance and what is rejected in art, attached to an aesthetic production that explores a classic ideal of beauty and a character who seeks to experience aesthetic pleasure above all else. It also considers the contemporary relationship of the concepts beautiful, ugly and grotesque in the field of entertainment and what this changes in its meaning.
