Resumo
Este artigo visa analisar o Corredor Econômico China-Paquistão (CPEC), Inserido na iniciativa “One Belt, One Road”, levando em consideração seus impactos econômicos, políticos e sociais. Ao longo do texto, faremos uma retomada histórica para entender a origem e os objetivos do corredor econômico, além de analisar como ele se insere no estudo das Relações Internacionais. O trabalho busca interpretar o potencial que o projeto tem em temas como energia, geração de emprego, infraestrutura e comércio, observando suas aspirações locais e como ele é utilizado como mecanismo de política externa. Apresentado como um valioso mecanismo de desenvolvimento, procuramos entender se o corredor tem capacidade de auxiliar na redução de desigualdades e proporcionar uma
melhor qualidade de vida para as populações que o cercam. Através dos levantamentos financeiros, estudamos a origem dos investimentos do corredor econômico, assim como as áreas em que ele será alocado. Do aspecto geopolítico, procuramos analisar a visão que Índia, Irã e Afeganistão têm sobre o corredor econômico, além de entender como eles se comportam frente a esse projeto, pontuando suas aspirações e receios.
This article aims to analyze the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), part of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, taking into account its economic, political and social impacts. Throughout the text, we will make a historical review to understand the origin and objectives of the economic corridor, in addition to analyzing how it fits into the study of International Relations. The article seeks to interpret the project's potential in topics such as energy, job creation, infrastructure and trade, observing its local aspirations and how it is used as a foreign policy mechanism. Presented as a valuable development tool, we seek to understand whether the corridor has the capacity to help reduce inequalities and provide a better quality of life for the populations around it. Through financial surveys, we study the origin of investments in the economic corridor, as well as the areas in which it will be allocated. From the geopolitical aspect, we seek to analyze the view that India, Iran and Afghanistan have on the economic corridor, in addition to understanding how they behave in the face of this project, punctuating their aspirations and fears.
