The present work aims to offer evidences that the Reforms that made labor relationships more flexible in Brazil, adopted since 2017, did not fulfill their promise to encourage the recovery of the economy in the country and, consequently, the reduction of the unemployment rate, as well as failed to stimulate the reinsertion of the unemployed part of the economically active Brazilian population in formal jobs. In addition, the work aims to present evidences that such reforms have another political objective, namely, to meet the interests of the owners of the means of production with respect to the growing disparity of power between the poles of the relationship between the purchase and sale of work.
