    Modelagem Matemática Nas Primeiras Disciplinas Do Ensino Superior: Uma Estratégia Para A Abordagem De Funções E Sistemas

    According to our experience as Mathematic’s teacher, we have noticed a certain concern from most of the students about two topics: functions and linear systems, both in basic and higher education. This sort of behavior generates an additional barrier to the understanding of the subjects taught and, when it comes to higher education, it collides with the professor’s expectations, which consider those topics to be a part of the student’s previous knowledge. In this work, through mathematical modeling, we will focus on studying alternatives that increase professor’s repertoire for the presentation of the subjects to be taught and also on proposing approaches for the transition period experienced by undergraduate freshmen students.
