- ItemSomente MetadadadosItinerários terapêuticos de usuário de um CAPS infantojuvenil e práticas de saúde de seu território: um estudo de caso(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2020-10-09) Silva, Alexandre Morais Da [UNIFESP]; Jurdi, Andrea Perosa Saigh [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São PauloChild and adolescent mental health care in the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) is faced with the challenge of the split between scientific and popular knowledge, in addition to frequently being impacted by the medicalization process of society. This work started from the premise that the community adopts a varied range of health practices and the knowledge of the path in search of solutions from different sources, from the point of view of the users, offers conditions to understand the gaps between their needs and the possibilities in a given socio-cultural context, in this case a peripheral neighborhood in the host city of one of the metropolitan regions of the state of São Paulo. This qualitative research is a socio-anthropological study whose main objective is to investigate, through Therapeutic Itineraries, the health practices sought or adopted by the family of an eleven- year-old child, user of a child mental health service in Santos, Brazil. The ethnographic practice related to the production of the data took place from July/2019 to March/2020; had as main instrument of the research the participant observation with the fourteen local community agents, and later with the mother, the maternal grandmother and Pedro, the participant boy. In a complementary way, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the child's mother and the coordinator of the primary healthcare unit. Pedro's journey revealed connections between his needs (met by different knowledge practices) and those of other children in his environment; there were several popular health practices, such as daily care, provided by people in the support network, involving resources such as popular herbal medicine, the massive use of electronic devices and self-medication. Healing practices related to spirituality, among others of traditional knowledge, have shown greater dominance among older people and have suffered impacts due to greater access to biomedical resources recently. In terms of professional mental health practices for children, the trend towards specialized care by looking for doctors and psychologists was verified, with a tendency towards medicalizing practices; the community's interest in alternative health practices and lack of information regarding the forecast of the provision of integrative and complementary practices by SUS were found. This research identified desired and not accessible practices and proposes that they start to be categorized, in the studies of Therapeutic Itinerary, as latent possibilities of care.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)ITINERÁRIOS TERAPÊUTICOS EM CONSTRUÇÃO: Aids, Biomedicina e Religião(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2010-02-24) Pinho, Paula Andréa [UNIFESP]; Pereira, Pedro Paulo Gomes [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)The following text is an ethnography of the therapeutic itineraries of people with HIV/Aids. The goal is to make an approximation of the relationship between health/illness and religion, from the assessment of therapeutic constructed and experienced. The idea that guides the study is that, although biomedicine holds the legitimate monopoly of therapeutic solutions, it does not constitute a single reference for thinking about them. Therefore, assuming the existence of numerous therapies, the objective is to map the joints that are established between the biomedical and religious solutions in context of the epidemic. The ethnography at the Centro de Referência e Treinamento in STD/Aids in São Paulo – a center that serves HIV-infected patients – has shown complex itineraries in which the subjects use a range of therapies and blend biomedical treatments and religious therapies. The ethnographic enterprise tried to follow these paths and verify how these people represent, articulate and experience these therapies. For the patients from this study, the relationship announced between the categories of disease and treatment does not separate the religious and biomedical therapies: instead, it was observed a continuum between the two healing practices. And those who circulate among them by promoting the articulation of their symbols make them in their therapeutic itinerary always suitable for further transformation.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosManipuladores De Alimentos Atuantes Em Um Abrigo Institucional: Discutindo O Processo De Educação Permanente(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2017-04-26) Silva, Angela Lima da [UNIFESP]; Batista, Sylvia Helena Souza da Silva [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Children's feeding practices include various factors such as food consumption, availability, cultural and media influences, but are mainly influenced by the knowledge, experiences and experiences of the mother and / or caregiver. In the case of children received by the State, these depend on the care of several people, who bring their cultural and educational influences throughout their lives into their professional practice, which often does not comply with appropriate feeding practices, and may have a negative impact on the Children's health. Based on this scenario, The aim of this study was to discuss the demands and expectations of professionals involved with infant feeding from an institutional sheltering service that serves children from 0 to 3 years old, in order for the education process. In this research, we chose a qualitative research, in the case study modality, having as food manipulating participants and social protection agents (caregivers) acting in an institutional reception service. The data were produced through a semi-structured interview and participant observation, analyzed according to the content analysis technique, thematic type, allowing the construction of four thematic nucleo, which revealed the profile of the professionals involved in infant feeding, as well as the knowledge and the conceptions brought from their professional practice, the understanding of their role in the development and growth of the children, the facilities, difficulties and limitations of the professional performance, and finally, showed how the training process occurs for them to work with infant feeding. Thus, the food practices and care of the adopted children in the daily life of the professionals studied are guided by the knowledge and conceptions based on sociocultural influences and the personal experience lived with motherhood, going against the current nutritional and food recommendations. It can be observed that caregivers have difficulty distinguishing their professional role as their mother, unlike the food manipulators, who perceive themselves as educators, acting actively in the formation of the eating habits. It was revealed the difficulty that the professionals have to see the potentialities of their work, as well as to identify that some activities are part of the caregiver assignment. The presence of menu was considered as potentiality and the absence of work material and extensive workload as a hindrance to professional performance. The training process of these professionals is based on the perspective of traditional teaching, with occasional actions outside the work environment, focused on the transmission of information and technical procedures, using traditional teaching methodologies. Thus, it was identified the need of the training process of these professionals to be constructed according to the particularities of the service, considering their knowledge and perceptions, enabling the critical reflection on professional practice and the autonomy of the subject in the construction of their knowledge and citizenship.
