- ItemSomente MetadadadosItinerários terapêuticos de usuário de um CAPS infantojuvenil e práticas de saúde de seu território: um estudo de caso(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2020-10-09) Silva, Alexandre Morais Da [UNIFESP]; Jurdi, Andrea Perosa Saigh [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São PauloChild and adolescent mental health care in the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) is faced with the challenge of the split between scientific and popular knowledge, in addition to frequently being impacted by the medicalization process of society. This work started from the premise that the community adopts a varied range of health practices and the knowledge of the path in search of solutions from different sources, from the point of view of the users, offers conditions to understand the gaps between their needs and the possibilities in a given socio-cultural context, in this case a peripheral neighborhood in the host city of one of the metropolitan regions of the state of São Paulo. This qualitative research is a socio-anthropological study whose main objective is to investigate, through Therapeutic Itineraries, the health practices sought or adopted by the family of an eleven- year-old child, user of a child mental health service in Santos, Brazil. The ethnographic practice related to the production of the data took place from July/2019 to March/2020; had as main instrument of the research the participant observation with the fourteen local community agents, and later with the mother, the maternal grandmother and Pedro, the participant boy. In a complementary way, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the child's mother and the coordinator of the primary healthcare unit. Pedro's journey revealed connections between his needs (met by different knowledge practices) and those of other children in his environment; there were several popular health practices, such as daily care, provided by people in the support network, involving resources such as popular herbal medicine, the massive use of electronic devices and self-medication. Healing practices related to spirituality, among others of traditional knowledge, have shown greater dominance among older people and have suffered impacts due to greater access to biomedical resources recently. In terms of professional mental health practices for children, the trend towards specialized care by looking for doctors and psychologists was verified, with a tendency towards medicalizing practices; the community's interest in alternative health practices and lack of information regarding the forecast of the provision of integrative and complementary practices by SUS were found. This research identified desired and not accessible practices and proposes that they start to be categorized, in the studies of Therapeutic Itinerary, as latent possibilities of care.
