Criticism is as if triggered by creation so that it serves the ends of the first. But criticism and creation requires the tracing of a way of being that absolutely defies the established values and evaluations that flow from them. The diagnosis of criticism discovers that the disease of both man and world is nihilism: the triumph of a way of being that denies life, which makes life something to be controlled, censored, appeased. How to do, therefore? How to draw a way of being that opposes in quality to the nihilistic way of being? It takes a path, a whole path in which the fight against nihilism is mixed up with a struggle that the thinker must undertake against himself, against the nihilism that conditions him. This path has two aspects that are like the two traces of a single philosophy: a destructive, critical par excellence; another experimental and creative, ethical par excellence. It is therefore necessary to determine the meaning of this conjunction by examining in detail some of its most important aspects.
