First the extract was evaluated for antiparasitic potential and showed high potential antitripanossoma. Thus, this statement was submitted to the partition in AcOEt and the organic phase obtained was subjected to evaluation of their potential antiparasitic, showing excellent antitripanossoma activity (IC50 = 13 mg / mL) but inactive when measured against L. (L). infantum. (IC50> 300 g / ml). Then, this material was submitted to chromatographic procedures such as column chromatography (silica normal phase and Sephadex LH-20) chromatography and preparative thin layer which allowed the isolation of two coumarins: calanolideo E1 (1) and calanolideo E2 (2), this is the first occurrence of these compounds in C. brasiliense. The structures of these compounds were established by spectroscopic and spectrometric methods such as mass spectrometry (MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), including through two-dimensional experiments. Finally, coumarins isolated were tested against trypomastigotes of T. cruzi and showed IC50 values of xxx / mL (1) and xxx g / ml (2).
