Introdução: A técnica microcirúrgica abrange diversas especialidades
orientadores e orientando. Desenvolver: elaboração conjunta do aplicativo
passo; 5) FAQ. Conclusão: Foi desenvolvido o aplicativo móvel
Microsurgical Steps.
Introduction: The microsurgical technique covers several surgical specialties, providing support for complex reconstructions with the aid of the microscope. A challenge faced by several services is the lack of a technology that helps in the teaching and learning processes containing the step-by-step training in the laboratory. Objective: To develop a mobile application to assist in microsurgery training. Methods: The application was developed based on the Design Thinking method. Discover: bibliographic survey in MEDLINE, SciELO, LILACS and Cochrane, in the period from 01/01/2000 to 07/01/2021 and search for prior art in the App Store, Google Play, Google and Google Scholar. Articles and applications on the teaching and learning process in Plastic Surgery and Microsurgery were included. A total of 552 articles were found, 13 were selected. In the search for prior art, four applications were found, but with different characteristics. Questionnaires were created and applied to Microsurgeons, fellows in Microsurgery and software developers. Define: brainstorming was carried out between mentor-mentee. Develop: joint development of the mobile application with the specialist company. Delivery: registration and availability of the tool for download. Results: Microsurgical Steps is an online, fluid, responsive, stream-video and Portuguese language application. It is divided into five items of a digital carousel: 1) Theoretical-practical information; 2) Dissection videos; 3) Articles; 4) Step by step; 5) FAQ. Conclusion: The Microsurgical Steps mobile application was developed.
