Resumo
O presente estudo aborda a evolução do perfil dos investidores individuais no mercado de
capitais brasileiro, analisando o período de 2020 a 2023. O estudo investigou as mudanças
demográficas e comportamentais dos investidores, bem como o impacto no mercado de ações.
Destaca-se o crescimento no número de investidores individuais, e o acesso ao mercado de
ações no Brasil. O impacto da pandemia de Covid-19 nos mercados acionários globais e o
comportamento dos setores na Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão, a B3, evidenciou a complexidade da
resposta do mercado à pandemia e a importância da educação financeira para o acesso a novas
modalidades de investimento. Esse ingresso de novos investidores foi acompanhado de uma
diversificação de gênero, evidenciada pelo crescente envolvimento das mulheres no mercado
de ações. Além disso, observa-se uma expansão territorial dos investimentos em ações, com um
aumento na participação de investidores oriundos das regiões Norte e Nordeste do país.
This study addresses the evolution of individual investors' profiles in the Brazilian capital market, analyzing the period from 2020 to 2023. The study investigated the demographic and behavioral changes of investors, as well as the impact on the stock market. The growth in the number of individual investors and access to the stock market in Brazil is highlighted. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on global stock markets and the behavior of sectors in the Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão, the B3, highlighted the market's complex response to the pandemic and the importance of financial education in accessing new investment modalities. This influx of new investors was accompanied by a diversification of gender, evidenced by the increasing involvement of women in the stock market. Additionally, there is an observed territorial expansion of investments in stocks, with an increase in participation from investors from the North and Northeast regions of the country.
