The present study aims to analyze data from the Higher Education Census report of the Nacional Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP), for the period 2010 to 2018, to verify the characteristics of the students who dropped out of the Actuarial Science course at UNIFESP and USP. The research was performed through mathematical calculation to obtain the absolute number of students who dropped out annually and in each proposed characteristic, and then, after tabulating the data, an analysis was made over the data to compare them between the two universities in the sample. As a result, it was found that both institutions show standards of evasion for the Actuarial Science course. So, to the yearly evasion, it was seen a 10% average for each of the universities, and about 30% compared to the total evasion in the period, for both institutions. About the proposed attributes for the analysis, it was verified that either the majority of the registered students and evaded students, in both universities, have the same characteristics: male, white, between 18 and 24 years old.
