- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Exploratory Analysis of Biodiesel by Combining Comprehensive Two-Dimensional Gas Chromatography and Multiway Principal Component Analysis(Soc Brasileira Quimica, 2017) Mogollon, Noroska G. S.; Ribeiro, Fabiana A. L.; Poppi, Ronei J.; Quintana, Araceli L.; Chavez, Juan A. G.; Agualongo, Darwin A. P.; Aleme, Helga G. [UNIFESP]; Augusto, FabioComprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC) was used in this work in order to reveal and identify minor compounds of several raw materials in biodiesel samples, which are not detected by conventional GC analysis. Multiway principal component analysis (MPCA) of the chromatographic profile allowed to identify compounds as C15: 1n-3, C18: 2n-6, C20: 1n-6, C20: 3n-3, C20: 3n-6, C20: 4n-6 C20: 5n-3, C21: 1n-6, C22: 1n-9, C23: 1n-9, C24: 1n-9 multi-unsaturated which were useful tracers to discriminate between biodiesel samples. In this way, the separation power of GCxGC combined with the MPCA algorithm proved to be a valuable strategy for biodiesel samples classification, allowing identification and providing additional compounds of the commonly known as chemical profile of biodiesel samples.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosTransesterification reaction of vegetable oils, using superacid sulfated TiO2-base catalysts(Elsevier B.V., 2008-09-01) Almeida, Rusiene M. de; Noda, Lucia K. [UNIFESP]; Goncalves, Norberto S. [UNIFESP]; Meneghetti, Simoni M. P.; Meneghetti, Mario R.; Univ Fed Alagoas; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Superacid sulfated titania catalyst, TiO2/SO4 (TS-series), have been prepared via the sol-gel technique, with different sulfate concentrations. the relation of structure and catalytic activity of the prepared material have been evaluated. the obtained material was characterized by several techniques, as infrared and Raman absorption spectroscopy. pyridine-adsorption infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analyses and obtention of N-2 adsorption-desorption isotherms. the catalyst that exhibits the highest catalytic activity in the methanolysis of soybean and castor oils at 120 degrees C, for 60 min (40% and 25%, respectively) was that which displayed the highest specific surface area, average pores diameter and pore volume, and highest percentage in sulfate groups (TS-5).
