Domestic Effluents Carry A Wide Variety Of Contaminants Such As Pharmaceuticals And Personal Care (Ppcps), Which Can Be Classified As Emerging Pollutants. With This, The European And North American Environmental Agencies Began To Regulate The Approval, Commercialization And Disposal Of These Pollutants Through Directives. It Has Been Shown That Changes In Biological Responses Are An Important Tool In Assessing The Risks Associated With The Introduction Of These Substances In The Environment, Since The Responses Observed Are Sensitive To The Exposure And Effect Of These Xenobiotics, Providing Relevant Information On Their Bioavailability And Toxicity.
